How to manually turn your hearing aids off or on

It's not often that you would need to “manually” turn your hearing aids off or on using the push button. As long as your Charging Case is plugged into power or is charged up, they turn on automatically when you remove them from the case and turn off automatically when you place them back in their charging slots.

So why do you need to know how to turn them off or on? We'll ask you to do this sometimes while troubleshooting together. It also comes in handy if you need to turn them off or on when you don't have your Charging Case on you.

How to manually turn on your hearing aids:

  1. While the hearing aid is out of the charging case, press and hold the push button on each hearing aid for 5 seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED blinks green once. If you hold the hearing aid up to your ear, you'll hear the “startup” beeps indicating the hearing aid is turning on.

How to manually turn off your hearing aids:

  1. While the hearing aid is out of the charging case, press and hold the push button on each hearing aid for 5 seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED light blinks green three times. They're now off.

Not sure if you saw 1 blink or 3 blinks? That's totally ok! Feel free to try again and count the number of blinks you see. Here's a guide to let you know what the blinking patterns mean.
