How to turn your hearing aids on and off

It's not often that you would need to use the hearing aid push buttons to manually turn your hearing aids on or off, but we'll sometimes ask you to do this while we troubleshoot together. It's also handy to know how to do if you don't have your charging case with you or if your case isn't charged.

How to manually turn on your hearing aids:

  1. While the hearing aid is out of the charging case, press and hold the push button on each hearing aid for 5 seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED blinks green once. If you hold the hearing aid up to your ear, you'll hear the “startup” beeps indicating the hearing aid is turning on.

Manually turn off your hearing aids:

  1. While the hearing aid is out of the charging case, press and hold the push button on each hearing aid for 5 seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED light blinks green three times. Your hearing aids are now off.

Pro tip: Remember, as long as your charging case is powered up, your hearing aids turn off automatically when you place them in the charging case, and they turn on automatically when you take them out. The manual steps above aren't used often, but they are good to know about if you're without your charging case.
