Personalizing with Enhance Select M Series
 

If you're using one of our Enhance Select M Series models (M1, M2, M3), the best way to get personalized programming to meet your unique needs is by completing our FDA-cleared self-fitting test in the Jabra Enhance Select app and applying your tuning. You can find the test in your app by going to Settings then Self-tune. From there, follow the guided instructions to take the test and apply your tuning. 

As your hearing needs change or evolve, retake the self-tuning test. That way, your hearing aid programming always matches your current needs.

Personalizing options for all Jabra Enhance models

Regardless of the specific hearing aid model you have, the app comes pre-loaded with three helpful hearing presets that can help add richness and clarity to your hearing aids. We recommend trying each one and seeing which sounds best. You can even hear a sample from each before applying them across your hearing aids.

• Normal: This is a great starting point and is designed to help you hear speech better, while still hearing all the sounds around you.
• Clearer: Clearer is close to Normal, but with added crispness and high frequency boost for enhanced speech clarity.
• Fuller: This gives a boost in the lower pitches and provides more richness. It's perfect for those who need a bit more loudness and depth.  
   

How to find and change a hearing preset:

1. Tap the gear box in the app on the top right of your screen on the Hear tab, taking you to Hearing Aid settings. 
2. Tap “Change preset” to listen to the different presets 
3. Select the one you want to try 
4. Tap “Save Changes”

Listening environments

In addition to being able to change hearing presets, your hearing aids come with four different listening environments designed to optimize hearing for different situations:

• All Around: This is the most used environment and provides a clear, balanced sound in most settings.
• Restaurant: This provides more directionality and noise reduction than the all around environment and is used often in restaurants or group situations. It generally focuses in the direction you are looking and is less focused on sounds all around you. So it's important to turn to look at the person who is talking to you when using this setting.
• Music: This setting is the least adaptive and has the least noise reduction and directionality - on purpose! When listening to music, you want to hear the sound as naturally as possible. It can also be a good setting for TV or while attending a live production. Pro tip: You don’t have to use “Music” just for music! If you like the way that the music setting sounds, feel free to use it in other situations. The same applies for any of your available listening environments.
• Outdoor: This is designed to cut down on wind noise - think about using it on the golf course or while going for a walk outside. When in this setting, your hearing aids are always looking for wind noise and reducing it for you. We call that wind guard. Outdoor also has 360-degree mic functionality to help you hear in all directions. This can be particularly helpful in the car.

You can access all of these listening environments in the app or change them using the physical buttons on the hearing aids. Press the push button on your hearing aid for 1-2 seconds to switch from one program to the next. You only need to change the program on one hearing aid - the other one will change automatically. Your hearing aids will beep to confirm the change. 

The number of beeps indicate the environment you've selected:

• All Around: 1 beep
• Restaurant: 2 beeps
• Music: 3 beeps
• Outdoors: 4 beeps

Other adjustments 

In addition to hearing presets and listening environments, you can also adjust your sound quality using:

• Volume changes 
• Sound equalizer adjustments (bass, mid, treble)
• Quick actions such as speech clarity, noise filter, or custom filter
