Hi, how can we help?

How to stop phone calls or media from playing through my hearing aids

Audio routing allows you to control where your audio plays, helping you manage calls, videos, and music more effectively. If you want to stop or pause audio from going through your hearing aids—or direct it back to them—follow the steps below.

For iOS devices:

  1. Go to Settings → Accessibility → Hearing Devices.
  2. Tap Audio Routing
  3. You'll see options for Call Audio and Media Audio
  4. Under Call Audio and Media Audio, tap each option and set to Always Hearing Devices if you want calls/media to go to your hearing aids, or Never Hearing Devices if you prefer calls/media through the iPhone's speaker.

For Android devices:

The process may vary by smartphone model and can seem unintuitive. It might look like you're unpairing your hearing aids, but you're only adjusting their connection for audio streaming. Follow these steps:

For Samsung and most of Android devices:

  1. Go to: SettingsConnections
  2. Select Bluetooth
  3. Find your hearing aids in the list of paired devices
    1. Blue name → Actively connected and streaming audio
    2. Gray/white name → Paired but not streaming audio
  4.  To stop streaming (e.g., calls or music), tap on your hearing aids' name. The color will change, indicating streaming is off while keeping them paired.

Note: If you open the Jabra Enhance Select app, your hearing aids will still appear as connected within the app.

For Google Pixel phones:

  1. Go to: SettingsConnected devices
  2. Find your hearing aids and tap the Gear icon next to them.
  3. Tap Disconnect. Your hearing aids will remain paired, but streaming will be off.

Note: If you open the Jabra Enhance Select app, your hearing aids will still appear as connected within the app.
