Hearing presets consist of 3 pre-programmed presets for common types of hearing loss. They are designed to help enhance speech clarity and provide a better definition of sounds around you.
We encourage you to start with the “Normal” preset for a few days in a variety of listening situations (restaurants, watching TV, going for a walk), but If Normal isn’t to your liking, there are two other presets to try:
Clearer: Try this preset if you use the normal setting but think, “I’m hearing better, but I still don't understand what is being said.” The Clearer preset offers more volume for higher-pitched speech and environmental sounds, resulting in a crisper sound quality.
Fuller: Try this preset if you use the Normal setting but think, “Sound quality is tinny and needs more richness.” The Fuller preset offers more volume for lower and mid-pitched sounds, resulting in a more balanced sound quality. This preset may also seem louder.
Learn how to change your hearing preset on the Jabra Enhance Select app.

- Your Hearing Aid Settings screen shows the current preset. Tap “Change Preset” under your “Hearing Aid Settings.”
- A 25-second sound sample, including conversation and various environmental sounds, will play. While listening carefully, select among the 3 presets to find the sound quality that is the clearest and natural for your listening preferences. You can listen multiple times if needed.
- Once you make your selection, tap “Save Changes” to finalize your new preset. A pop-up will confirm your selection was saved successfully.
Try this preset for a few days in a variety of listening situations. It may take some time to adjust. If it isn’t quite right for you, try the other presets to find the one that
helps you hear best.
