Hi, how can we help?

Top features of your hearing aid explained

There’s more to a hearing aid than just hearing better. Packed with so many features, they can connect you to your world in ways you might not realize.

From streaming your favorite podcasts and making adjustments on the go to answering calls without ever touching your phone, there’s plenty to take advantage of — and it all starts with Bluetooth.

Bluetooth

Using your smartphone’s Bluetooth feature is the gateway to getting even more out of your hearing aids. It connects your hearing aids to your smartphone to stream calls and podcasts right to your ears using a compatible smartphone/device.

Jabra Enhance Select app

With Bluetooth the easy-to-use Jabra Enhance Select app becomes the control center for your hearing aids, putting so much power into your hands. From easily turning up the volume, adjusting your settings, to booking and receiving convenient remote adjustments from your licensed hearing specialist (for customers with Care only), the app becomes a remote control for your hearing aids.

Some of the top features include:

  • In a noisy restaurant? A windy park? Choose from four different sound environments (All-Around, Restaurant, Outdoor, Music) to instantly cut through noise and optimize the sound for your current environment.
  • Adjust sound quality settings such as bass, middle and treble and make other adjustments yourself.

Hands-free Calling* (Jabra Enhance Select 500 & 300)

For those with the Jabra Enhance Select 500 and 300, Hands-free calling is a feature that lets you receive calls without touching your hearing aids. You can hear the caller through the hearing aids and also be able to speak to them without needing to speak into your phone. The mics on the hearing aids pick up and transmit your voice. You take calls just like you would with earbuds.

*This feature is enabled automatically as long as you have a hands-free compatible smartphone. Check to see if your device is compatible here.

TapControl * (for Jabra Enhance Select 500 only)

If you’re gardening, or cooking, or on a bike ride, and someone calls, you shouldn’t have to stop what you’re doing to answer it. With TapControl, you don’t have to. It gives you the freedom to answer calls with two taps of the hearing aid, perfect for when your hands are otherwise occupied.  No need to ever touch your phone.

A simple double-tap on your hearing aid answers incoming calls. End calls by giving a single short press on the hearing aid's button or pressing "end" on your phone.

*This feature is enable automatically for the Enhance Select 500. Requires a compatible device. Check to see if your smartphone is compatible here.

In the Jabra Enhance Select app,  you can enable and disable this feature or even only turn in on for one of your hearing aids. On the Hear Tab, tap on the  'Settings' icon on the top right corner and then select ‘Advanced hearing aid settings’.
