If you have access to Hearing Care* from our Audiology Team, your first appointment with us is almost always Orientation. And it’s the most important one. It’s a remote one-on-one video-chat with a licensed hearing professional meant to set you up for hearing aid success.
If you didn't schedule your Orientation yet and have access to Hearing care from our Audiology team, book your appointment here.
What to expect
During the 30-minute video-chat, your licensed hearing professional will:
- Review your hearing health history and goals
- Go through the hearing aid box we sent along with the included tools and components
- Demonstrate how to wear and maintain your hearing aids
- Make adjustments to your hearing aids
- Explain the Jabra Enhance Select app
- Ensure your hearing aids fit correctly
Before the appointment
Wear your hearing aids before the appointment so we can hit the ground running, and so you already have some experience with them. Make note of how things sound beforehand: Are some sounds too sharp? What’s still too quiet? You can bring these notes to your licensed hearing care professional at Orientation.
Get ready for the appointment by :
☑️ Start wearing the hearing aids.
☑️ Download and pair to the Jabra Enhance Select app.
☑️ Take the online hearing test or upload an audiogram if you didn’t already.
☑️ Complete the CEDRA (Consumer Ear Disease Risk Assessment) health questionnaire.
What to bring to the appointment:
- Bring some form of identification (ie, a driver’s license)
- The box that we sent you. We’ll be talking about the pieces in the box
- Fully charged hearing aids already paired to the Jabra Enhance Select app
- A friend or family member is welcome to join
Because we want you to get the most out of our meeting, there’s a five-minute grace period. After which we’ll reschedule the meeting. There’s just too much helpful information and content to try to cram into a shorter session. Also, we recommend logging on a few minutes earlier to check your camera, mic and connection.
