Hi, how can we help?

How to adjust the sound using the Jabra Enhance Select app

The Jabra Enhance Select app is designed to empower individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss by providing a seamless, user-friendly way to control and personalize their hearing experience.

With the sound customization features, the app lets users:

  • Switch between pre-set environments tailored for different environments, such as quiet settings, restaurants, or outdoor spaces.
  • Adjust volume independently for each ear.
  • Fine-tune treble and bass to match personal preferences.
  • Reduce background noise and enhance speech clarity with adjustable settings.
  • Check connection status and battery levels for the left and the right hearing aid

Using pre-set environments

The app displays your hearing aid’s 4 enviroments that come by default. You active one of the pre-sets you can tap or swipe through each one to optimize listening in different environments.

All Around:
Think of this environment as your “home base.” It’s versatile and works well for both simple and complex listening situations. It automatically searches for the most optimal speech signal in your environment.

Restaurant:
This program offers forward facing, directional microphones to better help you focus on speech in front of you and minimize the amplification of sounds behind you. Try it out at family dinners, work meetings, or on a date night.

Music:
Use this to preserve and enjoy the richness of music around you. Try it when you’re at a live performance or while you watch a musical on TV.

Outdoors:
This program helps to reduce wind noise when you are outside and other sounds, like road noise in the car. This is great at helping optimize a conversation while driving and improve your listening comfort when outdoors.

Adjusting sound settings and quality

Here are the different ways you can adjust the sound settings in the app to optimize your sound quality.

Settings:
Manage all of your programming needs here. Use presets to adjust sound quality or request a professional adjustment if you have access to Hearing Care.

Volume:
Adjust the volume using the center sliding bar on the hear controls screen. Tap the down arrow to adjust the left and right hearing aids separately and set the volume to your comfort level.

Volume will always be at 50% when the hearing aids startup. Don’t worry - this doesn’t mean you are only getting 50% of what you should be. Visibly, this is just an easy place to begin each day when you open the app.

Sound equalizer:
Adjust the sound and control the bass, middle and treble frequencies.
This is like tuning the radio in your car. You would increase the bass if you want a heavier, fuller sound and you would increase your treble if you want a sharper, clearer sound. Your middle frequencies do a little of both.

Checking hearing aid battery and connection status

Below the pre-set enviroments nav bar, you can find the Connection Status on the left and the Battery Status on the right corner.

Connection Status:

Two hearing aid icons are located in the top left corner of your controls. The colored dot beneath them shows their status: green for connected, red for disconnected, and yellow for attempting to connect.

Shows hearing aids are successfuly connected to the app

Shows that the left hearing aid is not connected to the app but the right hearing aid is connected.
It may be an issue with the connection itself or with the hearing aid not function properly

Battery Status:

On the right corner you will find the Battery Indicator. This will give you the % of battery life you have on the hearing aid with the lowest battery.

If you use the drop down arrow next to that, it will show you the battery life of each hearing aid
individually.
