Hi, how can we help?

How do I know which hearing profile works best for me?

Discover tips to help you choose the hearing profile that fits your needs.

Hearing profiles* consist of 3 pre-programmed profiles for common types of hearing loss. They are preset to help enhance speech clarity and provide a better definition of sounds around you.

We encourage you to start with the “Normal” profile for a few days in a variety of listening situations (restaurants, watching TV, going for a walk), but If Normal isn’t to your liking, there are two other profiles to try:

Clearer: Try this profile if you use the normal setting but think, “I’m hearing better, but I still don't understand what is being said.” The Clearer profile offers more volume for higher-pitched speech and environmental sounds, resulting in a crisper sound quality.

Fuller: Try this profile if you use the Normal setting but think, “Sound quality is tinny and needs more richness.” The Fuller profile offers more volume for lower and mid-pitched sounds, resulting in a more balanced sound quality. This profile may also seem louder.

  1. Your Hearing Aid Settings screen shows the current profile. Tap “Change Profile” under your “Hearing Aid Settings.”
  2. A 25-second sound sample, including conversation and various environmental sounds, will play. While listening carefully, select among the 3 profiles to find the sound quality that is the clearest and natural for your listening preferences. You can listen multiple times if needed.
  3. Once you make your selection, tap “Save Changes” to finalize your new profile. A pop-up will confirm your selection was saved successfully.

Try this profile for a few days in a variety of listening situations. It may take some time to adjust. If it isn’t quite right for you, try the other profiles to find the one that
helps you hear best.

*This feature in the Jabra Enhance Select app is only available to customers who bought the Basic Package or don't yet customize their hearing aid settings based on their hearing test results by one of our hearing aid specialists.
