Many issues with your charging case can be resolved by following these simple steps:
Step 1 - Charging Case Reset:
-
Place your hearing aids into the charging case
- Remeber that the blue side is for your left hearing aid and the red is for your right hearing aid
-
On the bottom of your charging case there is a black criclular button, press this for 5 seconds with a paperclip or pen
- After you release the button check the back of your charging case (near where you plug the cord in) and the lights should flash to confirm that you have reset the case.
Helpful Hints
-
Try a different outlet or different cable.
- This just helps to ensure that the issue is really with your charging case and not necessarily your outlet or cable.
-
Clean the charging ports
- Sometimes debris can get in the charging port and block the connection between the port and the hearing aids themselves. Using an alcohol swab to clean away any dirt may help the connection.
Step 2 - Hearing Aid Reset:
Follow these steps to reset your hearing aids:
1. Remove the hearing aids from your charger and wait until the green light stops blinking on the hearing aids.
2. For EACH hearing aid, hold down the program button on top of the hearing aid for 25 full seconds. (This may seem like a long time, but keep holding for the full 25 seconds. Timing yourself with a clock or your phone is helpful).
3. As you hold the button down, you'll see a blinking green light around the 5 second mark. Keep holding the button.
4. Around the 25 second mark, you will see the green light come on again and will stay on for a second, release the button now.
5. Put the hearing aid up to your ear at this point to hear the start-up beeps which confirm that the reset has completed.
Hopefully, this resolves your concern. However, if your issue persists your hearing aids may need a thorough cleaning. Please go to Step 2 for assistance cleaning your devices.
Step 3 - Different Port:
If your hearing aids are still not charging after resetting your charging case and hearing aids, try swapping them into their opposite charging slots. This will help determine if it is a faulty hearing aid battery or a faulty charging port.
