Generally, most people with hearing loss see the best outcome when two hearing aids are used instead of one. That’s why we only sell hearing aids by the pair.
If you are wearing one hearing aid today and wish to only wear one, we advise you to visit an in-person clinic as that may be the best treatment option. If you wish to only wear the side you perceive to have hearing loss, that is up to you, but we don’t recommend it.
The majority of our customers have some level of hearing loss in both ears. Even when you think your loss is limited to just one ear, there’s often some level of loss in the other - it just seems that way to you because one sounds better than the other. That’s why it’s an industry best practice in most cases to wear two hearing aids at once. (Of course, if you have a medical reason or have received professional advice not to wear a hearing aid in one of your ears, you should follow that.)
Important note: Jabra Enhance solutions do not treat single-sided hearing loss or deafness.
What if a hearing test or audiogram indicates you have hearing loss on one side?
If you took our online hearing test and the result indicated that you may only have hearing loss on one side, we advise you to visit an in-person clinic to get a thorough evaluation.
