Insurance and hearing aid purchases

If you plan to use insurance for your hearing aids, here’s what to know before purchasing.

Are Jabra Enhance hearing aids covered by insurance?

Jabra Enhance™ is generally not in-network with insurance providers, and we cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you. However, some plans may offer partial or full reimbursement for over-the-counter hearing aids supported by telehealth services.

Because coverage varies widely, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand your plan’s requirements.

What documentation can Jabra Enhance provide?

After you complete your Video Orientation appointment with our Audiology Team (which must occur within 6 months of purchase), we can provide documentation that may help you submit a reimbursement claim, including:

  • An itemized receipt
  • A product code for your hearing aids
  • A procedure code for virtual services

Do I need a diagnosis code?

Some insurance plans require a diagnosis (ICD-10) code. If your insurance requires this, we must have a diagnostic audiogram on file that:

  • Was completed before your purchase date
  • Is no more than 6 months old
  • Is signed by a licensed audiologist (Au.D., M.S., M.A., Sc.D., or Ph.D.) or a physician (MD)

Important to know

Each insurance plan has different requirements, so reimbursement is not guaranteed. Checking with your insurance provider before purchasing can help you understand what documentation they may require.

If you have questions, our team is happy to help guide you through the process.
