Purchased hearing aids with the goal of getting relief from tinnitus? You're not alone! The link between hearing loss and tinnitus is strong, and many of our customers purchase hearing aids with this goal in mind. If you're someone who has mild to moderate tinnitus related to hearing loss and are struggling with distracting ringing, buzzing, or other sounds in your ears, read on to learn how we can help.
First, if you're new to hearing aids, give yourself some time to adapt. Many people find that tinnitus symptoms become less noticeable gradually, especially with consistent hearing aid use and adjustment to amplified sound.
Second, there's more we can do!
Try sound therapy with our tinnitus relief app
Many people find that calming background sounds and relaxation exercises help make tinnitus less noticeable - especially during quiet moments or when trying to fall asleep. That's where our tinnitus relief app comes in.
Our tinnitus relief app is available to everyone and gives you easy access to sound therapy, relaxation exercises, meditations, and educational resources designed to give you actionable tools to help manage tinnitus.
Getting started is easy
Download the app on your compatible smartphone for free in the App Store or the Google Play Store and start streaming sounds directly through your hearing aids. Or, listen through headphones, earbuds, or even the speakers of your mobile device - this is particularly helpful when you've taken your hearing aids off before sleeping.
Explore the app
After opening the app, you'll find 4 tabs organized by the type of help provided:
- Sounds: Discover calming sounds like ocean waves, evening forest, rainfall, underwater sounds and more. Layer up to 5 sounds together, adjust the balance between ears, and even set timers for relaxation or sleep.
- Relax: Explore guided meditations, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques that can help reduce stress and create a calmer listening experience.
- Learn: Find educational resources about tinnitus, ways to shift focus away from tinnitus, and links to organizations and tools that support people living with tinnitus.
- My Relief: Track your app usage and personalize app settings for your preferred experience.
